Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret various customer documentation, such as Bill of Materials (BoMs), specifications, drawings, sketch sheets, assembly, and test schedules, towards ensuring a robust manufacturing processes.
  • Develop all processes and procedures for producing parts and sub-assemblies, including defining the necessary tooling.
  • Take responsibility for the comprehensive validation of all manufacturing processes, following customer protocols.
  • Maintain, support, and control instructions, stage drawings, tool
  • Assist in the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process, from identifying root causes to implementing corrective actions.
  • Generate detailed information for manufacturing cost estimation during the request for quotation process
  • Specify the equipment and tooling required for new production products
  • Create justifications for the acquisition of new equipment
  • Ensure that products and services meet customer requirements, quality standards, and airworthiness authorities' regulations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance processes, and implement improvement actions wherever necessary

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A recognised engineering qualification
  • Ability to create and modify CNC machine programs.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in a 3D CAD system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks and EdgeCAM.
  • Familiarity with production engineering, with a preference for experience in aerospace, high-tech manufacturing, or precision engineering.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to create plans and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Experience in creating and updating technical documents.
