Job Description

The post holder will take the lead and deliver an effective and business focused HR reward service to meet the business needs and priorities of the business in line with budgets and Trust HR strategy.

This role will take a lead in Reward focused activities.

Through effective communication skills and specialist Reward/HR knowledge and experience the post is responsible for providing advice and guidance on all areas of reward across the Trust and the implementation of Trust wide HR project initiatives as required.

This role will be working in a complex organisational framework that has a number of TUPE and regional specific terms and conditions, local working practices, a variety of pay structures and pay frequencies. This role will be pivotal in striving to achieve a one Trust approach for all areas relating to reward, pay and contractual provision

The Successful Applicant

  • This role is to start in January 2024
  • You will be a Chartered Member of CIPD.
  • CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience working as a Reward professional within a demanding and effective HR department.
  • Knowledge of how all specialisms in HR inter-relate and how they impact on the business.
  • Knowledge of reward frameworks and how to use these to enhance employee engagement, whilst maintaining legislative compliance and business viability.
  • Previous experience of the Gender Pay Gap (GPG) reporting process including the analysis of complex data and results to understand the changes and causes of the GPG.
  • Previous experience of job grading and evaluation schemes including undertaking detailed benchmarking analysis to influence pay decisions taking into account impact on other roles.
  • Accurate and up to date knowledge of employment law and of best practice and trends in relation to reward.
  • All candidates will be required to have a DBS check.
  • The post holder will be a car owner, with a clean driving licence as care home locations are not easily accessible by public transport.
