Their aim remains empowering organisations to make informed decisions with their analytical solutions and insights by identifying opportunities & mitigating risks, especially as capital markets continue to grow & expand internationally.

Year on year the agency is credited with numerous, and often repeated awards, showing their stability and credibility within the market. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to expand their international legal team by hiring a mid-level regulatory lawyer to join their London office.

Job Description

Your role will include significant cross-function collaboration including risk, compliance, government, public & regulatory affairs, and finance. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic and pragmatic advice on core regulatory issues including supporting the firm's response to inspections & inquiries by regulators
  • Acting as a trusted legal advisor on a variety of issues including operational resilience, outsourcing, internal controls, & competition law.
  • Advising upon complex internal policies & procedures
  • Assisting with the corporate governance & administration of group companies, including the representation of the legal department at board meetings
  • Leading policy submissions on regulatory developments & any necessary legal support on government, public, & regulatory affairs matters.
  • Representing on internal risk committees
  • Managing external counsel
  • Assisting on ad-hoc matters where required

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a UK qualified lawyer with 5 - 10 years' experience including a focus on the financial services regulatory discipline from a leading law firm or financial institution.
