Our client is a family run Manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow who opearte on a hybrid basis. They are the largest leather manufacturer in the United Kingdom and employ over 900 employees across the world. They produce for a variety of client including automotive, aviation, bus & coach, rail, furniture, and custom projects.

Job Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing and presenting accurate and timely management reports, presentations and dashboards for the management team and presenting in a format for non-Financial Managers.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide recommendations.
  • Drive process enhancement and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and assess different financial scenarios to evaluate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Manage accurate and reliable financial forecasts to assist strategic planning.
  • Utilise financial and operational data to generate insights and trends, helping drive data-driven decisions-making across the organisation. identify trends and provide insights on financial performance to inform executive decision making and drive growth.
  • Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required with recommendations to management based on findings.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant professional accounting qualification.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and use of an ERP - preferably Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modelling.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced user of Excel skills and use of macros
  • Understanding of financial performance metrics and KPIs, data analysis, interpretation and probability analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, experienced at producing insightful financial reports for non-financial people.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This role will offer a competitive salary between £60,000-£75,000 plus great benefits.
