Job Description

The role will deliver operational excellence with a target for tangible and continual improvement in business efficiency and profitability. You will lead an operational management team in development of operational processes using management techniques which deliver excellent business performance results.

Key contributors of the role will be the development and improvement in the performance and efficiency of people, processes, and equipment. Leadership and support to all levels of staff will be critical.

  • Define operational Key Performance Indicators which proactively help in the management of the business.
  • Controls the daily operations within the production area to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
  • Ensures optimal machine availability through robust Pm scheduling and operator led asset care.
  • Long term capacity planning to ensure we meet the customer needs of the future.
  • Establishes and monitors operational key performance indicators, while following and enforcing all site, group and local regulations related to environment, health and safety, and quality.
  • Identify talent and develop the skills and effectiveness of operational teams.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree educated or equivalent extensive experience required 6 - 10 years in a relevant. discipline of Manufacturing / Engineering / Operations Management.
  • Proven experience working in an Operations Management role within a mid to heavy manufacturing environment is essential.
  • IOSHH Certification Managing Safely.
  • Green belt 6 Sigma.
  • Demonstrates a strong analytical understanding of operational data.
  • Strong knowledge of IT tools and applications, specifically Office 365.
  • The ability to interpret and present Excel & Power Bi data is key.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of ERP systems and methodology.
  • Leads preventative actions to eliminate hazards and reduce risks related to health and safety for people and to environment protection in his/her scope.
