Job Description

The key responsibilities for the Procurement Manager include:

  • Leading all procurement activities with a range of values predominantly in the IT and FM categories
  • Be responsible for leading all tendering activity through contracts and frameworks
  • Creatively identifying savings and service improvements across a broad spectrum
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce risks and increase commercial value
  • Providing informed challenges to existing procurement routes ensuring best value
  • Developing and reviewing tender documents in line with PCR2015
  • Analysing tender responses to deliver the best value option with minimal risk
  • Ensuring the best commercial offers and delivering robust contract management

The Successful Applicant

The successful Procurement Manager will:

  • Have experience currently working in the IT category
  • Have experience working in the public sector and in line with the public sector regulations
  • Have worked across a range of categories
  • Have experience of supplier management, building relationships for success
  • Have experience of developing and implementing commodity strategies
  • Relevant experience within a procurement department
