Job DescriptionThe Barnet Group (TBG) is looking to appoint a new Finance Director to join their Senior Management Team (SMT), the role is responsible for Finance, Treasury & ProcurementWorking closely with the rest of the SMT and their teams, you will manage the day-to-day operational functions in Finance, Treasury and Procurement, including presenting to board where necessary and working closely with the Executive Team.Managing the finance function to deliver robust financial controls, improve performance whilst mitigating risk and delivering a timely audit.Introducing a new business partnering framework to progress the way finance communicates with the business.Focusing on finance systems, ensuring automation where possible and creating a robust systems plan to deliver an effective and intuitive service.Coach and mentor the teamCreate a high-performance work culture across the 3 functionsThe Successful ApplicantYou will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of achievement, with the ability to drive and manage a diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will have worked in social housing or other relevant industries, with experience managing a finance function. An ability to 'shift' seamlessly between service businesses and those that are 'asset heavy' and thus longer term in strategy.
