Our client is a values-driven Social Housing Provider based in the East Midlands that collaborates closely with Local Authorities to build affordable new homes and support over 20,000 people.

Job Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership and a corporate framework,including the 'property big 6' risk areas.
  • Fulfil the role of Health and Safety Lead, as described within the Social Housing Regulation Bill.
  • Provide oversight of the effective operation of directorate Health and Safety Forums and the Fire Safety Forum.
  • Advise on training requirements and ensuring that current training programmes remain relevant and up to date across the business.
  • Lead in the development of a Health and Safety culture across the association.
  • Drafting of effective policies, procedures, reports, systems and training.

The Successful Applicant

  • Health and Safety related degree or professional qualification (CMIOSH minimum)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety management, specifically within the Social Housing sector
  • Substantial experience at a senior level previously with proven accomplishments of driving positive change and minimising risks
  • Experience of managing complex budgets
  • Demonstrable experience of fire safety management including a relevant qualification
