Job Description

  • Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure compliance, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with various business teams to acquire and comprehend foundational data.
  • Perform tariff modeling.
  • Take the lead in guiding business teams through the process of tariff modeling, approval, and publication, including submissions to Ofwat and all website publications.
  • Prepare internal control and assurance reports.
  • Serve as the point person for internal and external tariff assurance.
  • Review and provide initial financial approval for tariff implementation in billing systems.
  • Manage the drafting of data for CCW and Ofwat.
  • Complete tables for the Annual Performance Report, including methodology, commentary, and the audit process.
  • Lead the annual update of tariff modeling systems.
  • Collaborate with the business to grasp and implement new charging structures.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Experience in a finance role.
  • Experience within a similar role/industry is advantageous.
  • Technically sound knowledge of Management Accounting (accruals/prepayments/journal processing).
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookup formulas SQL queries).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Ideally with modelling experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the business to build key working relationships.
