Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsThe organisation is going through an exciting period of changeFirst leadership role in the Employee Relations CoEAbout Our ClientOur customer is a leading Tech & Media organisation who is embarking on a period of change, as part of a new People plan, which includes some exciting new organisational projects, that the People team will play a big part of driving their success.They pride themselves in a culture centred around; Customer-centricity, Performance, and Collaboration.Job DescriptionReporting into the HR Director - Operations & Services, the Head of Employee Relations & Policy will lead a small Employee Relations team to drive change across the employee relations landscape with a view to ensure that the organisation has a stronger and more productive working relationship with its people.You will also work as a key People team profile to ensure true engagement with the direction of the organisation's key drivers for a headcount of c.1,200 people globally.The key focus for this role is to:Devise a gap analysis of the current employee relations strategy to inform the change in strategyDevelop and deliver the employee relations strategy, supporting the People SLT, to deliver productive employee relations across the organisationOwn the terms of reference and agenda for the Group Employee Relations Steering Committee, working with senior leaders to agree the strategic direction of employee relations, policies and contracts for the businessDeliver policies and procedures which are in-line with the strategic direction of the steering committee and can be deployed internationallyBeing the subject matter expert on policy, terms and conditions including advice for the wider business on the strategic employee relations agendaLead the improvement of direct employee relations by acting on feedback to improve engagement and performanceLead, mentor, and develop a small Employee Relations team in delivering day-to-day operational support to the organisation in respect of employee relations issuesEnsuring the effective measurement of employee relations performance with relevant KPI's and targets, and providing detailed progress updates for the People Partners and the HR Director - Operations & ServicesEnsure that all paperwork and employment-related contracts are legally compliant and representative of the business brand and EVP. Own the development of contracts so that they can mitigate commercial risks to the business as they ariseWork closely with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead to guarantee ER processes, policies, and procedures are inclusive and representative for every single one of their colleaguesEnhance the use of employee relations metrics, making data and insight driven decisions based on known internal and external trendsThis role is based in Greater Manchester, with a hybrid relationship to office working - with a 2 to 3 days in the office.
