Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsA hands on fund controller role with a global macro hedge fundAutonomous position facing the C-suite of the firm extensivelyAbout Our ClientThis Fund Controller role is with a leading financial services business, operating in the hedge fund space.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the successful candidate for this role will include:Support the implementation of enhanced accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Liaise with various stakeholders internal and externally to ensure accuracy and efficiency of daily and monthly NAV process.Non exhaustive list includes:- Work closely with fund admin on all aspects of NAV- Produce month end valuation packet- Shadow investor allocations-experience with open and close ended structures a plus- Help coordinate and tie out investor capital activity, bank activity, and investor statements- Ensure all aspects of NAV are in accordance with respective fund documentsSupport internal and external parties with the annual auditAssist with regulatory/compliance requests as neededAssist with tax requests as neededSupport ad hoc investor relations requestsProduce and maintain various fund, investment, and investor reporting metricsThe Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have the following background:Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CA/SA)5+ years of experience in a fund accounting role at an investment manager, ideally having worked for a hedge fundStrong understanding of accounting, operations, tax, investor relations and legal/compliance inrespect to investment companies.Previous experience working with large master-feeder structuresEffective problem solver who takes full ownership of work product and demonstrates strong critical reasoning, analytical, and detail oriented attributes with the ability to multi taskAbility to interpret and analyze complex legal documents relating to fund structures deal structures,and financial transactions.Experience with order management and accounting systems- Experience implementing shadow accounting systems a plusExperience with accounting, valuation, and operational related matters for large array of financial products-equities, credit, structured, liquid and illiquid a plus.Strong Excel skillsWhat's on OfferAttractive remuneration package and a great team.ContactAngel ValchevQuote job refJN-102023-6227145Phone number+44 207 776 5956Job summaryJob functionBanking & Financial ServicesSubsectorAccountancy & FinanceSectorFinancial ServicesLocationLondonContract typePermanentConsultant nameAngel ValchevConsultant phone+44 207 776 5956Job referenceJN-102023-6227145
