Job Description

As the Environmental and Sustainability Manager at the Broughton facility you will be tasked with the following;

You will ensure that all environmental legislation is adhered to in conjunction with companies legal obligations, whilst advising all levels of management of best practices
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate actions are in place for emergency situations
You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and developing to EMS (Environmental management systems) & strategies in accordance to ISO 14001
Develop behavioural change programs to progress and produce a sustainable process
You will carry out internal and external environmental audits
You will be tasked with investigating any environmental incidents and producing an action plan moving forward
Liaise with Waste companies to improve sustainability
You will create processes in order to reduce Carbon Footprint
Assist GMs in the development of environmental objectives and targets
Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to meet necessary reporting requirements
Report on energy, waste, water, CO2 emissions and single use plastic as part of internal and external reporting requirements
Produce monthly/ quarterly environmental performance reports to all levels of the business
Produce relevant environmental information and reports for Group Environmental reporting.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Environmental and Sustainability Manager will have the following achievements and experience;

You will have implemented, managed and developed ISO 14001 systems
You will have documented evidence of improving the sustainability and behaviours within your previous roles
You will have evidence of reducing your companies carbon footprint/or a clear strategy of how you planned to do so
Educated to degree level with/or appropriate professional qualification such as IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent
