With a budget totalling £16million.Develop and lead a team of nine people to provide academics and researchers with sound advice and support in all aspects of the financial management of research grants.Coordinate process change, simplification and automation while maintaining a strong internal control environment.Ownership of large, complex and special projects to support your team and provide training and advice to delegates when required.Contribute towards the continuous development of the University's Finance strategy using information and understanding of the business.The Successful ApplicantProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by suitable experience (QBE)Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.Design of new systems and processes along with automation to achieve and deliver efficiencies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrate ability to monitor and report on financial and performance related informationExperience of managing staff, motivating a team and performance management.What's on Offer£38,205 - £44, 263Excellent pension (11% fixed employer contribution)35 days annual leaveHybrid working and flexible working hours.
