Job Description

Analysis and Decision Making

Makes clear, meaningful recommendations for improving business performance based on the outcomes of analysis;

Quickly assimilates information and makes good decisions despite the uncertainty of the outcome;

Builds credibility to increase stakeholder confidence in own decision making;

When making decisions, balances achieving the company's objectives with associated risks;



Questioning and Challenging

Interprets reports and can provide clear narrative on the implications;

Improves efficiency by working with key stakeholders to improve design of processes;

Implements new processes to test financial initiatives;



Communicating Effectively

Is aware of stakeholder groups and communicates appropriate financial information to them (eg presenting financial information to a non-finance audience in a user friendly way);

Shares information with peer group;

Advises business on how to best manage the financial processes and reporting requirement and supports them in meeting deadlines;



Catalyst for change

Has the insight to know when change is required;

Creates clear plans and objectives for delivering benefits from change;

Translates external good practices;

Evaluates new business propositions both from an operational and financial perspective in line with group guidelines and requirements;Assists stakeholders of the functional areas in driving performance;

Demonstrates knowledge of all the levers of finance and their impact on business performance;

Proactively uses technical and professional skills to support others at their site.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally degree educated,

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified;

Proven and demonstrable business partnering experience or technical role within a Shared Service environment

Good analytical ability with a good attention to detail;

Good communication skills with the ability to present plans to support business decisions to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Ideally have experience in a consumer facing organisation with a continuous improvement agenda
