Job Description

As the Procurement Category Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the delivery and continuous development of an effective and flexible procurement service in areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinate and provide advice on contract management for contracts in area of responsibility.
  • Running the end-to-end tender process for complex high value requirements.
  • Co-ordinate complex internal and external meetings, visits and committees.
  • Research on data relating to supplier spend, contract usage and market trends in order to report on key findings.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken are in compliance with the external and internal regulations relating to procurement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience working in a complex procurement or supply chain function/environment.
  • Level 4 certificate in CIPS, equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or exposure to running and end to end tender process for complex high value contracts.
  • Experience of procuring under grant funding condition for example;European Structural Investment Fund.
  • Analysis, interpretation and reporting on data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
