Supply Chain Assistant

As the Supply Chain Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Sending requests for quotes to suppliers and subcontractors for required products and services
• Placing and managing purchase orders for goods and services based on either MRP system driven demand or consumable and maintenance requests
• Liaising with all departments to determine the delivery requirements of materials/components and services to meet agreed time-lines and works order requirements
• Expediting purchase orders where necessary to ensure supplier OTIF is achieved in line with business needs
• Managing suppliers to ensure that any delivery shortages are minimised
• Ensuring pricing data, lead-times and supplier key data is accurate and up to date in the ERP system
• Timely and accurate responses to supplier issues
• Organising appropriate transport and documentation for UK deliveries
• Coordination and arrangement of transport for sub-contract work
• Maintaining documentation/certifications
• Keeping the end client up to date about delivery schedules and potential delays
• General administration and other duties as required
