Job Description

Reporting to the company Director, this role will also lead and mentor a small Finance team.

Some key responsibilities will include:

* Leading on the production of the annual budget and financial planning
* Developing and maintaining a system of internal financial control
* Production of all financial statutory returns, including tax returns
* Project management of the annual audit and being the key point of contact for the audit team
* Managing the work of the Finance team, driving improvements in financial processes and controls
* Ensuring timely and accurate payroll management
* Present periodically to the company entity Finance Committee and Board of Trustees on all financial matters

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of operating at Head of Finance level in a medium sized organisation managing a finance team
  • Experience of producing consolidated statutory accounts for audit
  • Experience of leading an annual budget process
  • Experience of influencing and advising Senior Management and the Board
  • Experience of developing new processes and procedures and of leading change
  • Practical knowledge of payroll, tax and gift aid legislation as it relates to charities
  • A thorough understanding of the principles of internal financial control, with a track record of identifying and implementing improvements
