Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are representing a market-leading, industrial manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire who produce a range of component products for a variety of highly regulated industries.With continued growth, this impressive business is now looking for an Engineering Director to enhance their engineering department and overall senior leadership team.

Job Description

The Engineering Director will be responsible for leading and developing a team of highly skilled engineers, as well as:

  • Managing all engineering processes on site, including proactive maintenance, production engineering, technical developments and continuous improvements
  • Leading on process developments to ensure that customer standards are met with world-class service and performance
  • Driving innovation of new products, technology and services, with aspirations of launching industry 4.0 site wide
  • Developing preventative maintenance plans to prioritise downtime and managing critical spares to ultimately reduce lead time to customers
  • Operating to the highest safety standards and promoting this behaviour in others



The Successful Applicant

Successful candidates will have a strong mechanical/electrical or multiskilled engineering background and a proven ability in leading and developing teams in a manufacturing environment.You will also have:

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a strong technical background is desirable
  • A proven continuous improvement skill set, constantly searching for ways to develop the department
  • A innovative and customer focussed approach
  • The ability to deliver tangible, measurable results when working under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with peers, senior leaders and team members alike

What's on Offer

  • £80-95k, depending upon experience
