Job Description

As a Contract Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing costs, ensuring project financial control, and contributing to the success of our retrofit projects. Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Cost Management: Accurately assess and manage project costs, ensuring they align with the budget and are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Risk Analysis: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the retrofit projects to ensure successful outcomes.


  • Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to find innovative solutions that enhance project value and sustainability.


  • Contract Administration: Administer and oversee contract terms, payment schedules, and variations.


  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and organised project documentation to support project financial control.


  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on project financial performance and cost projections.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contract quantity surveying, ideally within the construction or retrofit industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC 3 & 4), tendering, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for quantity surveying.
  • RICS or CIOB membership is a plus.
