Additionally, oversee a third-party FM contract responsible for maintenance and hard services.Capital Works: Working closely with the Capital Projects team ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. This involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contractors to achieve project goals.Compliance and Safety: Ensure all facilities are compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.Vendor Management: Effectively manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure services are delivered as per the agreed terms and within budget.Scientific Environment Expertise: Utilize prior experience working within scientific environments, especially laboratories, to understand the unique requirements of the organisation. Implement best practices and tailor facilities management strategies accordingly.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate for this role will be a Facilities Manager with a proven background of working within a scientific research/manufacturing environment and who ideally holds an IWFM Level 6 qualification.It would be advantageous to have experience of delivering FM services to laboratories in a previous role.
