Based at HQ in North West London your responsibilities will include:Manage the performance of our clients outsourced 3PL warehouse provider.Play a key role in our clients long term UK distribution & warehouse strategyYour remit will also cover: stock management, product quality control, product, public and private liability insurance policies, UK - EU regulations and any future Brexit implications.Support in the preparation of any export and import documentation for shipments.Act as the first port of contact with the HMRC for all excise matters, movement guarantee and compliance with HMRC rules.You will drive and actively participate in the implementation of the certification process and subsequently take care of the audits, SAQs, product and documentation compliance.Ensure a structure for efficient data flow between the sales, logistics and accounting departments.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Logistics Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of our client's office in North West London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:Previous experience in a Logistics Manager position overseeing UK 3PL performance.Ideally you will have operated in the FMCG sector; food, drink or pharmaceutical industries.Experience of quality management and related certification implementation (eg BRC, FSSC, ISO 22000).Knowledge of ADR hazardous goods and/or bonded stock control management is advantageous.Be able to demonstrate a pragmatic and 'can do' approach to operational challenges.Be structured and organised in your approach.Excellent communications skills.What's on OfferA competitive salary of £45,000 to £50,000 + pension + flexible working will be on offer to the successful.ContactDean RoseQuote job refJN-102023-6205866Phone number+44 20 7269 2403Job summaryJob functionLogisticsSubsector3pl Commercial ManagementSectorTransport & DistributionLocationNorth West LondonContract typePermanentConsultant nameDean RoseConsultant phone+44 20 7269 2403Job referenceJN-102023-6205866
