Job Description

  • This is a brand new Supply Chain Director role to lead their UK supply chain planning and logistics strategy
  • Accountable for the end-to-end supply chain operation including the development of a SIOP process
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure the implementation of a robust SIOP process to ensure full utilisation of capacity and 'where to produce' manufacturing efficiency's
  • Define KPI's to measure success and develop actions to drive delivery, with an ability to communicate progress across various levels of the organisation
  • Ensure that risks within the supply chain network are managed and build a resilient supply network through our relationships, working alongside the Procurement Director
  • Create a solid demand planning process, incorporating seasonality, production capacity constraints, inventory management inc. safety stocks, historical trends and future forecasts; seek to continuously improve this process
  • Monitor forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing waste reducing strategies and developing supply chain management procedures
  • Coordinates and oversee all activities involved during inter-company transfers
  • Analyse and propose investments and processes that align with the organisation's needs and oversee budgets and proposals
  • Drive value and growth throughout the business by executing upon an M&A growth strategy including the effective integration of acquired businesses
  • Drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain
  • Maintain ERP (IFS) system to optimise efficiency's
  • Provide leadership including the coaching and development of your team in delivering continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
  • Strong communication when implementing change and improvements
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements



The Successful Applicant

  • Prior experience in a similar Director level role
  • Degree educated preferential / relevant qualifications e.g., MBA, CIPS
  • Experience within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is key
  • Continuous improvement mindset when it comes to planning processes Inc. demand, supply, production and SIOP
  • Commercially and financially astute inc. experience managing a multi-site P&L Inc. forecasting, budget and cost management
  • Strong leader and change agent with experience of leading, transformation and implementing change, structure, and processes
  • Experience within an M&A environment would be advantageous
  • Experience within a global and matrix organisation
  • Comfortable working both at a strategic and a tactical level, with a demonstrated ability to be hands on
  • Ability to travel
  • Seek to continuously improve planning processes Inc. demand, supply, production and SIOP



What's on Offer

The Supply Chain Director will be offered c. £95,000 plus package (flex based on experience and profile) plus a competitive benefits package.

The role will be remote-based, with regular travel to sites across the East Midlands and North East.
