About Our Client

I am pleased to be partnering with Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation based in SE1 to build their newly created digital team. The Digital Project Manager will specifically be focusing on three NHS charities which are: Guy's & St Thomas' Charity, Guy's Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children's Charity, which are all part of the Foundation supporting Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The Digital Project Manager will function as an enabler for the digital team, helping the digital team to work, better, faster and smarter to deliver impact. You will be instrumental in shaping how we work, leveraging your experience in rolling out modern ways of working in similar organisations.

Job Description

The Digital Project Manager will function as an enabler for the digital team, helping the charity to work, better, faster and smarter to deliver impact. You will be instrumental in shaping ways of working, leveraging your experience in rolling out modern ways of working in similar organisations. This role will be essential in making sure the digital team deliver consistent excellence across the board. This will mean traditional project management but also a willingness to take on and resolve a variety of challenges the team faces. You will be an unblocker, an innovator, a do-er but ultimately an enabler. You will be the lynchpin of the digital team.

Main duties include:

  • Work closely with the Digital Director and Head of Digital to transform how they work as a team to improve digital maturity and deliver excellent work that meets the needs of our stakeholders and audience.
  • Manage the delivery and continuous improvement of a range of key digital projects supporting how they work, including the roll out of a digital asset management system and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Define and document processes so that they are accessible and easy to understand.
  • Oversee the digital team's activity to ensure we're delivering at pace, bringing project management rigour to planning and delivery and how we work with stakeholders.
  • Solve a range of problems faced by the digital team in our day-to-day work by designing and implementing solutions based on insights and your experience.
  • Introduce effective ways of working using digital platforms and tools to drive our effectiveness.
  • Explore the introduction of an Agile approach to managing the digital team's work, leveraging Agile methodologies to do so.
  • Establish SCRUM as a way of working for the digital team and act as Scrum Master to support the digital team's sprints.

The Successful Applicant

In order to create an excellent digital team, the Foundation will need people who bring different experiences and backgrounds. With that in mind, they would value hearing from you even if you do not meet all the criteria below:

  • Experience in a digital project delivery role, managing across the entire project lifecycle with a focus on customer experience.
  • Willingness to take on various types of task that contribute to the transformation and improvement of the digital team.
  • High level of comfort working in a busy and varied role, focusing effort on impact and value creation, and an ability to prioritise work accordingly.
  • Experience of delivering change to how teams work through a continuous improvement model.
  • Knowledge and experience of empowering and developing team collaboration and ways of working through a disciplined and structured approach.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum and rolling out similar models within teams.
  • Experience and comfort with running workshops and planning sessions.
  • Power user level skills for digital collaboration tools and platforms, with experience of managing roll out of platforms like Monday.com and Airtable.
  • An ability to deeply understand problems and determine the right solution and deliver it.
  • Adaptability and preparedness to focus your efforts and experience on where it matters most for the benefit of the team and organisation.

Salary banding £50'000-£55'000
