About Our Client

I am pleased to be partnering with Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation based in SE1 to build their newly created digital team. The Digital Platforms and Content Manager will specifically be focusing on three NHS charities which are: Guy's & St Thomas' Charity, Guy's Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children's Charity, which are all part of the Foundation supporting Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The Digital Platforms and Content Manager is a brand new opportunity which will report directly into the Head of Digital and manage a portfolio of websites and platforms so that the charities supporters can enjoy the very best possible experience across multiple platforms.

Job Description

In this role you will ensure the Foundation is delivering exceptional experiences for the charities' supporters, optimising content and digital journeys, meeting the needs of supporters and colleagues. You'll be the lead on UX, content and web development. It's a broad and challenging role for someone with experience of digital platforms, continuous improvement, content management systems, content design and content management.

Main duties include:

  • Manage portfolio of websites and platforms so that supporters can enjoy the very best possible experience across our platforms.
  • Act as product manager for websites and platforms, developing product visions and development roadmaps with a relentless focus on continuous improvement.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the charities digital ecosystem including workflow for the production of content and campaigns.
  • Ensure the consistent application of user experience best practice, adhering to design system and brand guidelines.
  • Lead on a continuous content audit process, ensuring our digital content is working hard to support objectives.
  • Develop high performing landing pages and website content to support organisational objectives and user needs.
  • Review and develop user journeys over multiple websites, working closely with fundraising leads and the supporter experience team.
  • Keep up to date with the opportunities presented by the latest technology and how we can use it to improve experiences and ways of working.
  • Work closely with the charities strategic agency partners to manage a roadmap of continuous improvement.
  • Line management of the Digital Platforms and Content Officer.

The Successful Applicant

In order to create an excellent digital team, the Foundation will need people who bring different experiences and backgrounds. With that in mind, they would value hearing from you even if you do not meet all the criteria below:

  • Experience managing a complex digital ecosystem comprising multiple platforms and products.
  • Advanced expertise in content management systems (ideally WordPress) and experience in managing events and donation platforms.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UX best practice and a commitment to delivering exceptional digital experiences across our platforms.
  • Expertise in conversion rate optimisation and managing a programme of test and learn activity.
  • Familiarity of on-page and technical SEO principles and practice and experience of running a continuous SEO programme.
  • A strong technical understanding of website development, hosting infrastructure and DNS.
  • Knowledge of Agile working, ideally SCRUM.
  • Familiarity of developing website content strategy and working knowledge of content design principles and practice.
  • Familiarity with Information Architecture principles, and information organisation.
  • Excellent editorial and copy writing skills with a knowledge of plain English communications and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple agency relationships and getting the best out of them.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and collaboration platforms such as Sitebulb, AHREFs, Monday.com etc
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR, PECR and how to ensure compliance.
  • A commitment to the organisations DEI principles and putting them into practice.

Salary banding £50'000-£55'000
