About Our Client

I am pleased to be partnering with Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation based in SE1 to build their newly created digital team. The Digital Analyst will specifically be focusing on three NHS charities which are: Guy's & St Thomas' Charity, Guy's Cancer Charity and Evelina London Children's Charity, which are all part of the Foundation supporting Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The Digital Analyst position is a brand new opportunity which will report directly into the Head of Digital and support with a wide range of insights across three charities.

Job Description

In this role you'll own the digital team's data and use it to put insights at the fingertips of colleagues across three charities. You'll enable and empower teams to make data driven decisions, telling the story of the "why" behind the numbers. You'll work closely with the Head of Digital and Digital Marketing Manager to develop a rigorous approach to performance measurement and reporting across all channels.

Main duties include:

  • Help the Foundation to get serious about performance measurement by bringing your expertise in digital marketing analytics across paid, web, email and social.
  • Use your creativity and problem-solving skills to generate insight that will improve the effectiveness of digital marketing and fundraising.
  • Be the central point of expertise for web analytics, digital channel marketing insights, user behaviour and SEO.
  • Develop our understanding of audience behaviour and content performance across multiple digital channels.
  • Manage product-based reporting across our websites and platforms, creating dashboards and generating insights.
  • Maintain and optimise the use of GA4 and Google Tag Manager and making ongoing improvements to the foundations web analytics set-up.
  • Manage the testing programme, including collaborating on a hypotheses backlog.
  • Ensure data insights are shared across the organisation, are actionable and lead to performance improvement.
  • Lead on establishing a truly data drive culture across digital, marketing and fundraising.
  • Tell the story behind the Foundation's data to turn numbers into a narrative that teams can understand and use.

The Successful Applicant

In order to create an excellent digital team, the Foundation will need people who bring different experiences and backgrounds. With that in mind, they would value hearing from you even if you do not meet all the criteria below:

  • Experience in leading a digital performance capability within a charity context.
  • Experience in designing methodologies for performance monitoring, leveraging technology and automation to do so.
  • Advanced knowledge in Google Analytics, including GA4 and Tag Manager.
  • A knowledge of analytics technologies: GA4, Matomo, Fathom and others.
  • Experience with reporting dashboards in a range of formats and integrations including Google Looker Studio, Big Query and PowerBi.
  • Experience in implementing optimisation and testing strategies using tools such as Google Optimise, VWO or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of various ad platforms' data and reporting tools across search, display and social.
  • Strong written and verbal data storytelling skills with the ability to share analysis in an accessible and actionable way to people with a wide range of data literacy.
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships or agencies.
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR, PECR and how to ensure compliance.
  • A commitment to the Foundation's DEI principles and putting them into practice throughout your work.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for how understanding and acting on our data can continually make us better, supporting colleagues to use it.

Salary banding £45'000-£50'000
