Michael Page have retained to source an Engineering Projects Manager for a Chemical Manufacturing business based near Liverpool. This client employs over 1000 across c.20 sites across the UK offering a market leading sustainable solution to over 50,000 establishments throughout the UK and Ireland.

Job Description

The Engineering Projects Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within defined scope, schedule, and budget.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Provide comprehensive programme management leadership and support across a range of engineering projects
  • Ensure best in class health & safety across all projects
  • Influence and engage cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met within defined time lines
  • Ensure all projects comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans
  • Support, mentor and develop engineers within team
  • Assist with projects across the group where required
  • Maintain and deliver summaries and reports as required

The Successful Applicant

The successful Engineering Projects manager will possess a range of the following:

  • Demonstrable experience in leading multiple projects including budgetary implementations
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering activities through to successful completion at the same time
  • Strong understanding of process safety
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Environment legislation (ideally NEBOSH)
  • Experience in working within Chemical Manufacturing business or similar
  • Degree Level qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar relevant degree)
  • Excellent communication skills and hands on approach
