Job Description

  • You will curate a range plan for our end customer that delivers on agreed commercial targets
  • Negotiate with and manage the supplier base, including a clear supplier strategy and ongoing maintenance/improvement of terms
  • Define the pricing and promotional strategy for the category
  • Product/supplier sourcing & development in line with strategy
  • Generating a continuous pipeline of value-creating initiatives to increase sales and profitability
  • Deliver projects and trials within your own area with cross-functional engagement
  • Contribute to the annual budget-building process
  • Deliver and track against the key commercial KPI's of sales and profitability
  • Responsible for the category and trade plan that aligns with the overarching business plan

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous buying/commercial experience in retail/ account management
  • Experience within the food & drinks sector in a commercial/ trading management role highly advantageous
  • Great stakeholder management with the ability to communicate and influence effectively
  • Extremely adaptable and highly commercial with the ability to influence and deliver results
  • Computer literate - experience using Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with negotiation skills
  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse data
  • Able to work in a competitive sector with ambition to progress and make an impact.
