Established organisation based in West Wales.

Job Description

  • Providing draft monthly management accounts for the Finance Director to agreed timescales
  • Ensuring monthly salaries for 120+ employees are processed and paid correctly in a timely manner
  • Weekly finance reports to management
  • Attending management meetings
  • Liaise with the external auditors to provide information for the Annual accounts
  • Manage Tax, (VAT, PAYE/NI, P11D) input as required to Corporation Tax & R&D Claim
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register.
  • Support with cash flows and cash forecasting as required
  • Daily, weekly and monthly sales target reporting
  • Review and approval of Purchase orders
  • Letters of Authority (LOA) applications and administration
  • Domestic and international payments as required
  • Day to day management of finance and office staff
  • Import duty and postponed VAT accounting (PVA) adjustments
  • Carrying out periodic internal audit to ensure that company controls and process are sufficient and effective



Other Duties:

  • Completion of National Statistics forms
  • Waste Electrical quarterly submissions
  • Irish VAT submission and payment

The Successful Applicant

As Financial Controller you will report directly to the Finance Director and work closely with the senior leadership team to support the company's development objectives through accurate reporting and forecasting based on financial data maintained by the Department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a financial management role.
  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced excel skills (this will be tested at interview
  • Commercially astute.
