A leading distributor in Wakefield servicing the UK; dedicated to delivering top-notch Logistics Distribution and supply chain solutions to a variety of customers. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Logistics Project Manager to help lead their innovative projects and drive improvements across their distribution operations.

Job Description

As the Senior project manager (logistics), you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in Logistics Distribution and supply chain.
  • Lead the implementation of warehouse automation solutions to boost operational efficiency.
  • Utilise your expertise to improve warehouse layouts, enhancing product flows and minimising bottlenecks.
  • Oversee the integration and utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and telematics solutions.
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve delivery Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the successful completion of projects within scope, budget, and timeline, utilising Prince2 project methodology.

The role of Senior Project manager (Logistics) is a key member of the senior team requirements include

  • Proven track record in project management, especially within the logistics and distribution industry.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Educated to degree level or qualified by experience
  • Prince2 project methodology certification.
