Job Description

  1. Carry out all aspects of infrastructure administration from end user support troubleshooting to installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, Active Directory, 365, and network devices and services.
  2. Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining, specifying, designing, and delivering technical solutions and assisting other members of the team with their own deliveries.
  3. Ensuring network services are maintained and monitored. The successful candidate will have at least a basic understanding of working with firewalls, LAN, WAN and wireless networks, and a desire to expand their knowledge into networking through formal training if this has not already been achieved.
  4. Identify operational problems and work with other to find resolutions, ensuring outcomes are documented.
  5. Carry out agreed operational procedures, including support, installation, configuration, upgrades, backups, restores, decommissioning and maintenance.
  6. Proactively monitor systems, including backups and interfaces. Investigate and resolve problems.
  7. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based services and integrations.
  8. Use standard management and reporting tools to monitor and manage storage utilisation, performance, and backup statistics.
  9. Monitor security best practices/operations to ensure effective standards are maintained and investigates where necessary.
  10. Provide support for server hardware.
  11. Contribute to the implementation of upgrades and new system.
  12. Work with the team and Head of Informatics to ensure that the company's compliance with various accreditations / certifications is maintained.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Microsoft Active Directory administration, Group policies, Security.
  2. Office 365 administration in a hybrid environment
  3. Administration of Exchange in a hybrid 365 setting, including mail flow troubleshooting.
  4. Microsoft O365 advanced security settings including SSO for third party applications, Conditional Access
  5. Hyper-V management and maintenance in a SAN environment.
  6. PowerShell scripting.
  7. Proficient in installing/administrating Microsoft server and client operating systems.
  8. Ability to take sole ownership of complex customer technical support challenges, delivering end-to-end IT service solutions.
  9. Ability to analyse complex problems and propose solutions while satisfying any constraints imposed by the business i.e., resource or time.
  10. Basic knowledge of network technologies including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and VPN.
  11. Security ISO29001 Accredidation experience with reviewing documentation and compliance.
