This Compliance Director, Head of Global Compliance, Oil position is based in London and offers hybrid working. The London based team work in the office on Monday-Wednesday, with the rest of the week worked from home.

Role Overview:

The Head of Global Compliance will play an essential role in ensuring compliance across all entities by providing clear advice and challenge while embedding and reinforcing a strong compliance control culture. The role is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws and ensuring compliance with internal policies, liaising with relevant functions - particularly legal, finance and HR.

* Keep up to date with and inform the businesses and boards on legal and regulatory changes impacting the business.

* Review, draft and implement internal policies and compliance processes.

* Identify and manage regulatory risks. Implement and manage compliance plan for the group, reviewing and assessing risk controls, and implementing risk management framework.

* Train and educate the business on ethical and compliance policies and requirements. Act as the contact point for whistleblowing hotline regarding ethics and compliance and policy breaches.

* Create and manage action plan in response to audit findings or other incidents (e.g. financial crime, policy breach, HSE breach, cyber incident).

Role Requirements:

* Experience gained in Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industry

Understanding of relevant laws and regulations is a must

* Experience of creating and leading on full regulatory and corporate compliance programmes internationally

* Ability to lead in formulating new initiatives and procedures, as well as completion of routine and ad hoc work in a timely manner

* Be valued and supported, working as part of a highly respected Leadership Team and support the huge focus on Health & Safety

* Highly analytical with experience in collecting and analysing data and information

* Excellent attention to detail

* Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels

* Strong report writing skills

* Should have either a law or business/economics academic background and professional experience in this or adjacent areas (law, finance, regulatory compliance etc.).
