Job Description

  • Management and delivery of audit assignments for Charity and Not-For-Profit sector, Limited Companies (including groups).
  • Oversight of workflow and management of appropriate staff allocation
  • Managing and taking the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Reviewing audit files ahead of Director review
  • Reviewing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including supporting analysis
  • Delivering information and communicate with clients in a timely and effective manner
  • Assisting the senior management team and Directors on ad-hoc project work.
  • Lead some of our largest and most complex assignments
  • Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work
  • Deliver the audit file to the assignment partner in timely manner
  • Monitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively
  • Develop specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments
  • Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the office's training and development programme

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate must have or show:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a number of jobs across portfolio, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met
  • Display strong technical knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience using IRIS and MyWorkPapers is preferred but is not essential

  • Qualified by Experience is also considered



As well as the above you will have experience of planning and completing audits as well as using an analytical review process and having experience of accounts preparation, leadership, delegating and reviewing work of trainees within the team.
