Job Description

  • Working in collaboration with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and executive a highly commercially effective marketing strategy.
  • Take responsibility for delivering on all marketing initiatives, aligning them with the company's overall vision to achieve agreed objectives and goals.
  • Develop clear plans and work with senior managers to drive high-quality lead generation that will help enhance conversation rates.
  • Ensure that marketing is recognised as a high-quality service that generates leads and delivers results across various media channels, including traditional, digital, and social platforms while maximising the potential of automated campaigns.
  • Create and encourage a high-performance environment by managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals.
  • Lead and develop the marketing team by providing clear communication and leadership, and ensuring skills remain up to date.
  • Optimise the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource utilisation and maximise return on investment (ROI).

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Marketing Director role should have a successful background in the B2B financial services sector. They could either be an existing Marketing Director or a 'Head of' with the capability to move into the Director position, backed by their prior experience. The candidate should be commercially minded and should enjoy engaging with all departments of the organisation. They should have an entrepreneurial mindset, be agile, embrace new challenges and be forward-thinking when it comes to new marketing technology and techniques.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of implementing successful lead generation campaigns using modern marketing techniques such as HTML, Direct Mail, Affiliate and lead aggregators, PPC, SEO, and Social lead generation. They should also be familiar with Salesforce and Pardot. Ideally, the candidate should have experience leading a business through substantial growth and navigating change with excellent leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams and colleagues to achieve optimal performance.

The candidate should be someone who can switch quickly from strategic thinking to being hands-on and has strong problem-solving skills. They should be personable, collaborative and forward-thinking, with the ability to execute their marketing strategy effectively. The position is based in the North West and requires the candidate to be in the office a minimum of 4 days per week to be effective.
