Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWide ranging mid-level Construction and Procurement Counsel role (in-house)Opportunity to work in house for a global hub airport (focus on rail assets)About Our ClientOur Client is a world famous airport and a hib for both the UK and EuropeJob DescriptionTo provide professional legal expertise to the Airport (including the Procurement and Infrastructure teams) in respect of all forms of supply chain contracts, with a particular (but not exclusive) focus on matters relating to infrastructure and construction projects and to strengthen (through supported personal development as necessary) our in-house capability to provide legal advice on rail matters relating to rail operations, including track access, policy, regulation and strategy.The responsibilities would require the successful candidate to:Negotiate, review and draft contracts and any other documentation/arrangements relating to procurement activities at the Airport.Provide specific legal support on construction and infrastructure matters, utilising existing personal experience in NEC forms of contract.Upskill and develop our in-house capability (with appropriate support) in rail matters relating to rail access to terminals.Produce standard form contracts, precedents and other 'toolkits' for the business.There must be a willingness to take on a flexible diverse workload to meet the varying needs of the business and to upskill in other areas of the law as may be required.The Successful ApplicantThe succesful canidate will be a Lawyer, qualified in England and Wales (or an equivalent Common Law jurisidcition). They will be likely to have at least 2 years' PQE.
