Job Description



In this role, you will assist with the management of the firm's various auditing tools, both commercial software and propriety software. There are currently a wide range of tools being used and others are under development and so there is the opportunity to be involved in both established tools, as well as new and innovative ones. The position also includes the opportunity for collaboration with a wide range of individuals within the UK firm and also within the Global network.In this challenging and rewarding role you'll also:

  • Participate in Audit Labs - includes triaging ideas submitted, attending brainstorming sessions, review of experiments and inputting on the audit methodology aspects of experiments.
  • Participate in the production of new tools - assist the Senior Managers in managing new Business Products, including inputting into the design of the tool, user acceptance testing, organising pilots, inputting into the roadmap, completing System of Quality Management documentation, creating guidance and working with the Transformation and Ops teams to launch the new tool.
  • Project manage the standardisation of documentation - collate a list of all templates (e.g. Word and Excel templates), ensure that each template meets the layout requirements, review sector's assessment of whether AQD involvement is required (with support from Senior Managers), co-ordinate review of templates, develop new templates as required
  • New tools supplied by vendors - working with the Transformation and Ops team in assessing new tools supplied by vendors, completing System of Quality Management documentation.
  • Audit methodology content in APT - assist the Senior Manager in co-ordinating the scoping of content to be included in upcoming APT libraries.
  • Review of audit tools - review audit tools in line with the System of Quality Management review cycle, liaising with SME's where appropriate, liaising with vendors where applicable, obtain and evaluate SOC report(s) from vendors, and ensuring all considerations have been documented on the appropriate form.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders - Transformation and Operations Team, IT (Business Applications Team, Audit Labs, Launchpad, Digital Products Management, Business Relationship Manager, Automation teams), Methodology and APT Champions, Digital Audit Champions, Audit Advisory teams.
  • Ad hoc - Involvement in ad hoc tools projects
  • Supervision - joint supervision of a small team to assist with the above responsibilities.



The Successful Applicant



The successful candidate will have experience in audit, with good technical skills regarding auditing standards and their practical application. The role will be primarily based in the London ofice, although some visits to other offices and overseas may also be required.You'll be someone with:

  • ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification
  • Working knowledge of audit methodology and tools
  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
