The role will seek out through an intelligent approach, landlords for new EV charging locations in key areas. The role is likely to produce and negotiate strategic relationships across all different sectors including developers, commercial and retail owners, the third sector and residential owners.The role will require professional sales and collaboration skills, self-motivation and drive, an eye for detail and the ability to enhance knowledge of the EV sector. The role will also involve liaison with lawyers and negotiating contracts and property law. The role will also include budget responsibility across the commercial P&L and will include reporting to CMT level. The role will include the production of bid documentation and liaison with the marketing team to ensure all marketing areas are covered. The role will function in a team where teamwork and a collaborative approach is essential, supporting each other to achieve a team goal, and sharing information via an up-to-date CRM system.Be a key member of the team developing a business development department that will be commercially viable, market leading and will develop a growth sector my clientWorking within the team, design and obtain sign off for your business development strategy for developing commercial workstream. Update this every year and get Board sign offUsing data and knowledge and through building a family of third party 'integrators', develop relationships with a wide range of customers, paying particular focus to those customers where there is more than one site on offer or a cross selling opportunity is available e.g., fleet users.Producing all bid documentation by working with the marketing team ensuring that all the marketing material and collateral is best in class and any bids promote my client in the best way possible. Ensuring that there is full PR, social media, and website coverage for all commercial activity as it happensFormulating commercial offers for bids to ensure the company wins business in a commercially viable way, and then negotiating and closing negotiations with landlords and partners. Adopting a win:win approach at all times.Leading the negotiations, and legally documenting through third party lawyers, the agreements, partnerships and collaborations that you secure.Working with our supply chain ensuring that the move from tender to project delivery is smooth and all customer interfaces are managed until the project is handed over to the project delivery teamUpdate the CRM in a timely manner with all leads and contacts; tracking regular contact, ensuring such contact is recorded and followed up quickly, ensuring all negotiations are also appropriately tracked. Regular contact with customers and stakeholders to made through face-to-face meetings, Teams calls, newsletters with case studies etcMonitoring the competition and ensuring offer is always ahead of the marketFormally reporting through a board paper and face to face to the CMT or Board (as required) on progress in this business area. This will include account reporting referring to profitability and budget management. Producing two weekly reports for management through a series of self-designed dashboards to reflect progress and track performanceOnce projects are live, undertake client quarterly reviews to present the clients' specific reporting data and customer experience, and to ensure all cross selling is undertaken.
