This vision touches everything they do, motivating and inspiring them to become better every day.The team itself is circa 15 people, who have a great social atmosphere, and regularly socialise at month end and generally outside work hours Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities for this Accounting and Financial Reporting Supervisor opportunity include:Supervision and coaching of junior team members in the preparation of financial statements that are compliant with FRS 102, the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)and other relevant accounting standards.To supervise a number of opportunities on a growing portfolio of not for profit clients including; e.g.charities, academies, independent schools, FE Colleges and registered social landlordsSupervision and coaching of junior team members working on various limited assurance and agreed upon procedures assignments (e.g. independent examinations, service charge revies, teachers pension scheme reviews)Taking the lead on delivering accountancy related projects for NFP clients as they arise, for example Charities SORP consultancy or detailed review of financial performance.To act as the main point of contact with clients. To communicate any problems or any contentious issues identified to the assignment manager and/or partner immediately. To identify and form suggested solutions.The position will involve significant client interactionTo provide insights to our clients drawing on the firm's depth of resources and help to introduce other service lines as you build those relationshipsTo liaise with other departments within the office, especially the audit and tax teams. To ensure that agreed deadlines are met and significant issues are resolved in a timely manner.Utilising Excel/Word and CCH AP 2 to produce working papers and financial statements.To act as a coach to more junior members of the team and to participate in staff training and supervision as required. This role has the opportunity for line management of junior staff depending on experience.A willingness to travel to client's premises is required.
