This role will give the successful candidate a chance to truly flourish within a challenging, demanding, but rewarding environment with lots of room to progress along the way.Job DescriptionThe Logistics Manager role will require the individual to:Report to the General Manager.Manage a team of 50+ Drivers through 5 direct reports.Ensure vehicle and driver compliance with O licence, site, EU and other legal requirements, monitoring, analysing the results and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.Head up key projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage multiple customer relationships.Ensure risk assessments are undertaken and implemented on customer premises for major changes/new business when required as advised by the relevant customer account team.Investigate, analyse and implement corrective actions utilising current systems where appropriate (i.e. Telematics, Dynamics) to resolve all logistics problems eliminating inefficient supply and distribution routes, quality of service, customer losses and continuously improving working practices.Have full control of the operating budget for headcount.Full site H&S control.Accountable for people development and performance management within the operation.Be commutable to Norfolk.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate for the Logistics Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - EssentialCPC - Essential Be Degree educated (or similar) - AdvantageousManaged Multiple customers previously - AdvantageousA minimum of 5+ years Logistics experience at an equivalent level previously - Essential.
