About Our Client

Bradford is setting up a new Children and Families Trust. The Trust is commissioned by Bradford Council to deliver a wide range of services for children, families and young people on their behalf. The Trust is accountable for determining how outcomes of these services are achieved and for the day-to-day running of commissioned children's services.

This is an important opportunity to renew our approach to delivering the support that Bradford's children, young people and families in need, by renewing services and creating a new organisation. They are bringing the mindset, dynamism and energy of a start-up together with the national expertise and determination of the Trust's Board, senior leadership and our colleagues' practical experiences of providing children's services in Bradford.

As a new organisation, Bradford Children and Families Trust is establishing our own purpose, vision, and outcomes for what we aim to achieve.

Job Description

Business Support functions optimise resource allocation, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with regulations. They facilitate collaboration among different teams promoting seamless workflows and coordinated efforts to address the diverse needs of children and their families. By collecting and analysing data, they enable evidence-based practices and continuous improvement, fostering innovation and learning within the Trust. Ultimately, these functions play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation and learning.

The Trust is working to build dynamic administration and support functions for front line operations. As a Business Support Officer, you will provide administrative, clerical, and operational support for designated service areas. Your strong organisational skills and commitment to exceptional service will contribute to the smooth operation of the Trust and ensure teams are empowered to deliver against objectives and enhance services provision

The responsibilities will consist of, but not be limited to the following:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including managing correspondence and scheduling appointments.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Support the coordination of meetings and events.
  • Handle inquiries and provide professional responses.
  • Assist in data collection, entry, and analysis.
  • Establish positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings and other events within the organisation as assigned, taking comprehensive and accurate minutes
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of relevant statutory compliance requirements for your service area.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • A positive attitude to learning and developing your skillset.
  • Proven experience in administrative or business support roles or the ability to demonstrate the key trasnferable skills from a similar educational setting.

What's on Offer

- Basic Salary up to £24,000

- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) rising to 32 days annual leave with length of service

- 37 hours per week Monday - Friday

- West Yorkshire Pension Scheme - 17.1% employer contribution
