My client operate on a global scale with customers ranging from the largest engine manufacturers to small single equipment operators, from North America and Australia to Chile, India, Russia and Finland.Over many years my client has developed deep experience and know-how in relation to the monitoring of all types of equipment using real time oil condition monitoring. The company develop core technologies and products inhouse, with manufacturing undertaken by a carefully selected manufacturing partners with whom our dedicated production QA department works.Job DescriptionReporting into the Support Manager as the Technical Support Engineer, you will be based at the company's offices in Sheffield. You will be responsible for providing customers with technical support on how to install and use bespoke products. Additionally, you will communicate verbally and electronically with UK and Global customers answering specific questions and solving their problems.Your specific responsibilities will include:Responding to customer support inquiries and providing technical advice and guidance.Supporting our sales team with technical support.Providing customer feedback into our product management to improve our products.Attending customer sites for site survey and troubleshooting purposes.Working with the development team to establish root cause of customer issues.The Successful ApplicantIdeally you will be from a mechanical engineering background with familiarity with industrial or manufacturing equipment, this position would suit Application Engineers, Project Engineers or Support Engineers who are used to communicating and dealing with technical issues.
