Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsImmediate start availableOpportunity to join a business going through an exciting period of changeAbout Our ClientA private equity backed technology business based in the North East going through a significant period of change.Job DescriptionResponsibility for the the group balance sheet consolidation, cash flow and the monthly subsidiary close processPreparing a quarterly board reporting pack and monthly management executive pack, including commentary on performance and KPIsProviding in-house technical expertise via IFRS / US GAAP and local GAAP accounting support to the wider team, including proactively managing the effects of upcoming GAAP changes or new initiatives on Group and Subsidiary results.Liaising with other functions across the business to create and enforce commercial contracts with a view to ensuring optimal revenue recognition in line with the requirements of the company.Leading the annual Group audit process including dealing with external auditors, agreeing timetables and ensuring timely delivery of audit information and audit closure.Providing oversight of subsidiary audits, working in co-ordination with Accountants to align to the Group audit cycle and produce associated testing efficiency's, whilst ensuring filing deadlines are met.Preparing the annual Group financial statements reporting under IFRS / US GAAP.Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.Leading the preparation and filing of UK and US Group tax returns and associated payments.Oversee the preparation and filing of subsidiary corporation tax, incentive schemes and indirect tax return requirements.Assisting with the financial due diligence on new investments and M&A targets.Delivering process improvements across the accounting team.Ad-hoc projects and other tasks.The Successful ApplicantQualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA or equivalent.Strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of consolidations and financial statement preparation.Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, coordinating with various stakeholders.Prior experience in IFRS/US GAAP.In-depth knowledge of UK and US taxes, and experience in tax planning.Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting tools.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically and provide valuable insights to support decision-making.Prior experience working within private equity is desirable but not essential.What's on Offer3-6 month assignment with hybrid workingDay rate £500 - £700 depending on experience - outside IR35Immediate startContactEmma WilkinsonQuote job refJN-082023-6158494Phone number+44 113 243 7716Job summaryJob functionAccountingSubsectorFinancial ControllerSectorTechnology & TelecomsLocationNorth East EnglandContract typeTemporaryConsultant nameEmma WilkinsonConsultant phone+44 113 243 7716Job referenceJN-082023-6158494
