Job Description

The Finance Business Partner/Finance Analyst will have a wide range of duties including:

  • Reporting: Preparation of weekly, monthly and annual reporting for the business to the Central function and the Board. Ensure the completeness and integrity of the ledgers in SAP including monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Budgeting and forecasts: Manage the company's forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Long Range planning: Lead the annual review of the long range Business Plan to produce and present presentations to the Executive and Board.
  • Business Partnering: Working closely with the General Manager to provide financial support to meet the growth aspirations of the business to achieve its Business Plan targets.
  • Capital project financing: Supporting the Capital Delivery team to identify project delivery cashflow and funding requirements.
  • Growth projects: Work with both Internal and External Stakeholders on Strategic growth projects.
  • Balance sheet ownership: Responsibility for the company's whole balance sheet.
  • Working capital: Managing trade debtors and ensuring supply chain partners are paid on time. Ensuring sufficient cashflow and maximising any surplus cash.
  • Risk: Identification and management of material financial risks and opportunities.
  • Drive improvement: Identify and drive financial efficiency improvement opportunities to ensure key operational, regulatory, and financial performance targets are proactively met.
  • Business insight: Set insight and analysis rhythm for the company, influencing impactful partnering with the business units to deliver improved understanding of key growth and value drivers of the business. Provide accounting and financial expertise to the team

The Successful Applicant

  • The Finance Business Partner will have a strong start to their Finance career and have the confidence and communication skills to work closely with stakeholders across the business to add value through their financial insight.
  • The ability to link financial and operational performance together and present cohesive insight to drive improvement.
  • Studying for CIMA or ACCA.
  • Business Partnering experience with operational and support functions alike.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management & influencing capabilities at all levels of a business.
  • Demonstrable experience and familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP).
  • Excellent relationship building skills with external organisations, such as auditors.
