About Our Client

  • FMCG business based on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Job Description



  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure they meet performance targets.


  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock availability.


  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all products leaving the warehouse meet the highest quality standards.


  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks, inspecting shipments, and ensuring timely dispatch of orders.


  • Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe and hazard-free working environment for all warehouse personnel.


  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency.


  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order fulfilment rates, and any relevant KPIs.


  • Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any customer-related issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision, preferably within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
