Save JobEmail job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWell known household brandCareer progression and exciting opportunities for futureAbout Our ClientA well know household brand based in Dover.Job DescriptionMain responsibilities:Responsible for preparation of UK statutory accountsCoordinating with the Tax Manager on all direct and indirect tax submissions.Managing the group consolidationLiaison on other monthly reporting required by external stakeholders (eg banks, pension schemes, credit insurers etc.)All internal and external financial accounting working with direct reports and closely with the team of business support accountantsLiaison and reporting to Finance including submission of monthly accounts, consolidation and analysisPrimary liaison with accountants for European statutory accountingKey liaison on all aspects of external and internal auditsSupporting ensuring an effective control and governance environment in place and associated reporting thereonContributing to the management and development of the accounting and financial reporting IT systems throughout the Finance DepartmentEnsuring compliance with all other statutory type reporting (Eg payment reporting, relevant statistical reporting)Work with the Tax Manager to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all direct and indirect tax submissions and other government returns, including (but not restricted to) corporation tax, tonnage tax, VAT and national statistics returns, Financial Accountant and Tax Compliance including consolidation, statutory and group , as prepared by the businessSupporting role on sustainability and other ESG reportingDeliver required pension accounting coordinating with actuaries/advisers as needSupporting the development, implementation and operation of CODA and Cognos reporting throughout the Finance departmentOverseeing / delivering reconciliations to ensure that all POF balance sheet accounts are reconciled with appropriate frequency to support the accuracy of reportingPeople Managed: 2Financial Accountant Assistant Financial AccountantThe Successful Applicant Knowledge & Skills - Essential:ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified - knowledge of UKGAAP / IFRSAble to communicate and work at a senior level within a large, complex organisation including overseas teamsAble to effectively manage a team and develop their skills and competenciesChange management experienceKnowledge & Skills - Desirable:Experience in financial systems development and implementation.
