Job Description

As the Head of Reward, you will be leading the design and delivery of the reward agenda, whilst reforming and shaping the reward strategy for the future, ensuring accuracy, compliance and engagement across all elements of Reward.

The role reports directly to the People Director and you will work closely with the People Leadership Team to develop and implement pay and reward strategies.

You will play a key role supporting the development, management and delivery of Reward & Benefits activities including annual pay review, company car scheme, role bench-marking, bonus performance & AIP, monthly and annual benefit processing cycles and pension governance across the whole organisation. Strategically leading the pensions offering, working closely with the pension providers and pension trustees.

The Successful Applicant

The Head of Reward will:

  • Be from a strong Reward background within a large complex organisation
  • Have excellent Project Management skills and experience of leading projects
  • Good knowledge of developments and expertise in Reward and Benefits
  • Experience in a specialist role, operating with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience of the development of innovative approaches to complex problems
  • Experience of creating and implementing HR & Reward Policies and managing the changes
  • Sound knowledge of the tax implications and legal compliance requirements of reward, including salary sacrifice schemes
  • Good understanding of key statutory elements such as National Living Wage, Gender pay reporting, GDPR
  • Experience of carrying out salary reviews and surveys
  • Experience of job evaluation schemes

The role is home based with occasional travel to the Head office in Chippenham and other locations in the UK.
