Public Sector organisation with best-in0class benefits and work environment looking for an Application Support Analyst to provide professional and responsive support for off-the-shelf and bespoke software to agreed SLAs.

Job Description

The role will:

  • Facilitate end to end Incident, Request and Problem resolution.
  • Build business working relationship with business teams as well as technical teams
  • Work with the IT Service Management team escalating incidents where appropriate
  • Liaise with the Service Desk team to progress incidents and requests
  • Resource requests, continuous improvements and projects where appropriate



You will:

  • Handle incidents, requests and problems for TPR applications, keeping customers informed of progress and managing internal and external suppliers
  • Become a part of the Production Support Team to provide triage for application-based faults, bugs and user queries, resolving or escalating as the need arises to the technical teams.
  • Attend regular stand ups to update progress on a variety of DevOps boards.
  • Be the main communicator between the business and the technical teams.
  • Provide fit for purpose and knowledgeable advice to customers
  • Carry out light database administration

The Successful Applicant

Essential

  • Able to evidence a good working knowledge of supporting a range of commercial and bespoke applications
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customer and ability to communicate within different levels of the business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work in an organised and proactive way
  • Light touch understanding of SQL scripts and .Net development code



Desirable

  • Experience of managing suppliers
