About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing and innovative company operating in Wholesale of consumer goods. With an extensive national presence and a commitment to excellence, they have established themselves as a market leader in their field. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a skilled Group Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in their financial strategy.

This 100mil turnover business is due to be growing in the near future with integration of a new factory business about to be purchased in the North East of England.

Job Description

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and advanced data reporting and analysis.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and insightful financial insights to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting principles, and company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support financial due diligence and integration of potential acquisitions.
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with external auditors, advisors, and banks to ensure smooth financial operations.



The Successful Applicant

You will be an experienced and strategic finance professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the financial operations of a dynamic organisation

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly analytical with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using financial software, Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
