Job Description

The primary responsibility for the Business Development Manager will be to manage and develop existing relationships whilst identifying new opportunities within the Construction/Temporary Power sector.

Further responsibilities include: -

  • Working closely with the MD to build, develop and execute key strategies in driving growth and success!
  • Producing quotations and proposal to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Working proactively with the internal sales team to maximise conversion rates.
  • Staying abreast of competitor activity and market trends to capitalise on sales opportunities.
  • Adopting a trusted partner status, working collaboratively and cohesively with internal and external stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Business Development Manager will: -

  • Have demonstrable experience within the Construction/Temporary/Industrial Power sectors.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise activities to achieve customer and business objectives.
  • Preferably have a working knowledge of IET Wiring regulations and be conversant with temporary electrical installations.
  • Be commercially astute and possess strong negotiation skills.
  • Be a self-starter, determined and self-motivated individual!
  • Be able to work with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
  • Be consultative in your approach and possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to travel flexibly across London and the Southeast, with ad hoc visits to customers on a national scale.
  • Based primarily at the head office in Kent working closely with the wider organisation.
