Their vision is to hire a Director of Oncology Informatics to assist in solving decades of inefficiencies in research with cutting edge tools.Job DescriptionAs the Director of Oncology Informatics, you will be expected to define and execute informatics strategy using oncology data frameworks; mCODE.Create extraction and data management procedures with inclusion and exclusion criteria.Work with the CTO to integrate oncology informatics insights with the latest advancements in natural language processing.Create a strategy for all genomics data for cancer.Design and implement methods to transform the oncology database; identify lines of therapy from medication data.Collaborate with internal teams to manage ETLs and other data operations using SQL and to optimise the use of oncology informatics.The Successful ApplicantAn advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Health Informatics, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oncology Informatics.Ideally 5 years' experience in a leadership position.Robust understanding of clinical data frameworks and oncology data models with profound understanding of clinical events in oncology, such as disease progression, treatment paradigms, and genomics data.Expertise in working with EMR data, data warehouses, and other structured and unstructured data sources.
