Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Senior Digital Communications Manager will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage the organisations social media accounts by developing and prioritising a compelling editorial content calendar to engage our target audiences in support of overall comms strategy.
  • Manage incoming social media messages and content and provide effective crisis management responses to mitigate reputation risk.
  • Review and manage the organisations website, ensuring content is accurate, effectively curated, up-to-date and aligned to strategic priorities and core audiences.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, including IT, to ensure the website and other platforms are in line with business policy and reflect the business's needs.
  • Oversee analytics for the digital platforms to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to increase engagement with our audiences.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in the stakeholder engagement and media relations teams to ensure campaigns, messaging and crisis responses are aligned to protect the organisations reputation and maximise opportunities

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate:

  • You will have a proven track record of working at a senior level managing all digital content and social media channels. You will work with senior stakeholders and help to create a variety of written content to drive key messages and to raise the brands profile.
  • You would have worked in a commercial complex environment where you have owed the digital channels. You must have the ability to take technical information and re-write so that the public understand.
  • You will need to analyse the success of the content and be comfortable with SEO.
  • A strong knowledge of using web and social media content to attract, build consideration, and ultimately to convert, key audiences aligned to organisational goals.
  • Experience working within a broader communications team, whereby campaigns are integrated for media, stakeholder and internal audiences.
  • Experience sourcing and managing external web design and web development agencies, from briefing through to execution. Evidence of leading agencies to deliver website redesigns or from scratch web builds
  • Significant experience contributing to and delivering a digital content strategy, in support of an organisation's strategic and business priorities.
